What is drawtoon?
drawtoon is a free AI studio for making manga and manhwa. You describe characters and scenes, the AI draws full comic pages, and you can publish them for others to read.
Do I need to know how to draw?
No. You write prompts and pick your characters and style — drawtoon generates the artwork, panels, and dialogue for you.
Manga or manhwa — what’s the difference here?
Manga is generated as black-and-white or colored comic pages that are split into panels. Manhwa (webtoon) is generated as tall, full-color vertical-scroll pages. You pick the style when you create.
Creating comics
How do I create a character?
Open the create flow, describe your character, and generate. Keep the description vivid and illustrated rather than photo-real for the best results. Save the one you like and reuse it across your toons.
How do I regenerate or edit a panel?
Click a panel in the editor. An empty panel is generated fresh; a panel that already has art is edited so the composition and style are preserved while only your requested change is applied.
What language is the dialogue in?
Generated text follows your reader language automatically. Japanese sound effects (SFX) stay in katakana by design.
Toons & account
What are toons?
Toons are drawtoon’s in-app currency, spent on generation. They have no cash value and aren’t transferable. You can top up from your wallet.
How do I publish and share my work?
From your studio, share a toon to make it public. Shared manga automatically get a generated cover a couple of minutes after publishing.
How do I change my language, theme, or account settings?
Everything is under Settings. You can switch language from the footer at any time too.
